PUNIXIN™
Punixin™
is a complex drug in development derived entirely from
the fruit of the pomegranate, Punica granatum.
The drug is aimed at the treatment of prostate cancer, especially
regarding the containment of the disease, i.e., preventing
its spread or metastasis.
The
drug contains three different complex fractions of the pomegranate
fruit that are attained only with the use of edible solvents.
Synergy has been mathematically established among the different
fractions for inhibiting prostate cancer cell proliferation,
invasion and secretory phospholipase A2 activity.
Punixin™
exerts multiple and complementary anti-cancer actions which
act to contain cancer growth. Additional expected applications
include prevention of prostate cancer, treatment of breast
cancer and prevention of breast cancer. Punixin™
also possesses anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic, anti-inflammatory,
anxiolytic, anti-bacterial and anti-viral elements.
